Job Summary We are seeking an experienced

AWS Cloud Architect

with hands‑on expertise in

Amazon Bedrock, Agent Core, and DevOps practices

to design, build, and scale secure cloud‑native and GenAI‑enabled solutions for a financial services client. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of AWS services, cloud security, automation, and CI/CD, along with experience designing solutions in regulated environments.

Key Responsibilities Cloud Architecture & Design

Design and implement scalable, secure, and highly available AWS architectures aligned with financial industry standards.

Lead cloud solution design using the AWS Well‑Architected Framework (Security, Reliability, Performance, Cost Optimization).

Define architecture patterns for microservices, event‑driven, and serverless applications.

Generative AI & Bedrock

Architect and implement generative AI solutions using Amazon Bedrock.

Design and integrate Agent Core‑based intelligent agents for business workflows, automation, and decision support.

Collaborate with data science and application teams to operationalize LLM‑based solutions securely.

DevOps & Automation

Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as AWS CodePipeline, CodeBuild, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar.

Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or CDK.

Enable automated monitoring, logging, and alerting using CloudWatch, CloudTrail, and AWS Config.

Security & Compliance

Ensure adherence to financial industry compliance standards (e.g., PCI‑DSS, SOC2, ISO, data privacy).

Architect solutions with IAM, KMS, VPC, encryption, and network security best practices.

Perform risk assessments and support audits and governance initiatives.

Collaboration & Leadership

Act as a technical leader and advisor to engineering and business stakeholders.

Mentor development and DevOps teams on AWS best practices.

Participate in architecture reviews, design discussions, and technical decision‑making.

Required Skills & Qualifications Technical Skills

8+ years of IT experience with 5+ years in AWS cloud architecture.

Strong hands‑on experience with:

Amazon Bedrock

Agent Core / AI agent frameworks

Core AWS services: EC2, S3, RDS, DynamoDB, Lambda, API Gateway, EKS/ECS

DevOps expertise: CI/CD pipelines, Terraform / CloudFormation / CDK, Docker & Kubernetes, strong scripting skills (Python, Bash, or similar)

Domain Experience

Experience working with financial services or banking clients.

Understanding of regulatory, security, and compliance requirements.

Soft Skills

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Strong problem‑solving and analytical abilities.

Ability to work in fast‑paced, agile environments.

Preferred Qualifications

AWS Certifications (one or more):

AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional

AWS Certified DevOps Engineer

AWS Machine Learning Specialty

Experience with GenAI governance, prompt engineering, and LLM security.

Prior experience in hybrid cloud or multi‑account AWS environments.

Work Location Austin, TX
