The Senior Project Architect will provide technical design leadership across architectural disciplines. Your Key Responsibilities
Technical Leadership & Innovation in architecture and design
Provide internal technical leadership across architectural disciplines, guiding design excellence and delivery
Set design strategy with clients
Champion innovation in modular design, sustainability, and integrated building systems
Develop and maintain Stantec's architectural standards, specifications, and design guidelines
Ensure compliance with applicable codes, accessibility standards, and environmental regulations
Mentor and coach architects and designers across the advanced manufacturing & industrial practice
Publish technical articles and contribute to thought leadership initiatives
Balance strategic initiatives with hands‑on project execution, managing multiple priorities in parallel
Lead site planning, building layout, and integration of architectural systems across multiple disciplines
Support construction administration, design reviews, and quality assurance
Qualifications
Your Capabilities and Credentials Licensed Architect (RA) with strong knowledge of building code and sustainability frameworks Proficiency in Building Information Modeling (BIM) software, particularly Revit, with expertise in architectural modeling and detailing Proven record of technical innovation solving client's challenges Experience across the following markets: Semiconductor, Advanced Technology/Manufacturing/Industrial design Exceptional communication, leadership, and multi‑tasking skills Involvement in LEED, WELL, or other sustainability certification Education and Experience Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture 20+ years of experience in architectural design 15+ years in advanced manufacturing/cleanroom and or mission‑critical/data center environments Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather. Pay Transparency: In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible. Actual compensation for part‑time roles will be pro‑rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week. Benefits Summary:
Regular full‑time and part‑time employees (working at least 20 hours per week) have access to medical, dental, and vision plans, a wellness program, health saving accounts, flexible spending accounts, 401(k) plan, employee stock purchase program, life and accidental death & dismemberment (AD&D) insurance, short‑term/long‑term disability plans, emergency travel benefits, tuition reimbursement, professional membership fee coverage and paid family leave.
