Network Engineer – Activations Team
The Staff Pad has partnered with a growing technology services organization to hire a Network Engineer for its Activations Team. This role plays a key part in delivering successful network installations and ensuring a high-quality client experience.
Role Overview The Network Engineer collaborates with project management, design, and client-facing teams to deploy and support enterprise network environments. This position focuses on network activations, technical execution, documentation, and ongoing optimization.
Key Responsibilities
Support network installation and activation projects from handoff through completion
Serve as the engineering point of contact for assigned high‑speed internet deployments
Execute technical work aligned with established standards and best practices
Create and maintain network documentation, diagrams, and configurations
Ensure compliance with technical and branding standards
Recommend process and configuration improvements
Manage, resolve, or elevate incidents in accordance with SLAs
Qualifications
5+ years of network engineering experience supporting enterprise networks
Strong knowledge of routing, switching, Wi‑Fi, and network security
Experience with Fortigate firewalls and enterprise switching/wireless platforms (Cisco, Meraki, Aruba, Ruckus)
Solid understanding of Layer 2/3 networking (VLANs, ACLs, NAT, DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP)
CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent certification preferred
Strong communication and time management skills
