The Senior Backend Developer will play a key role in designing and maintaining the backend systems that power a high-performance, global digital asset platform. This role focuses on developing scalable, secure, and low-latency services while contributing to new features, integrations, and innovative product offerings. Accountabilities
Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Node.js and microservices architecture
Build secure, reliable, and scalable APIs and backend processes for enterprise-grade applications
Implement new products, features, and platform enhancements using agile development methodologies
Ensure system performance and responsiveness at scale, supporting global user growth and high-availability requirements
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, security, and frontend engineering to define requirements and deliver solutions
Integrate with blockchain and other financial technologies while maintaining best-in-class security standards
Troubleshoot issues, optimize system performance, and participate in on-call rotations if required
Contribute to code reviews, technical documentation, and knowledge sharing within the team
Requirements
Strong proficiency in Node.js and JavaScript, with experience in backend development of complex platforms
Familiarity with microservices architecture and distributed systems
Experience with relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., MySQL, MongoDB)
Solid understanding of security best practices and application-level protections
Experience in blockchain integration and high-availability systems is a plus
Knowledge of other languages such as Ruby, Rust, or C++ is beneficial
Experience with message queues, caches, and job queue systems (e.g., Redis)
Strong problem-solving skills, adaptability, and ability to learn new technologies quickly
