Title: Head Coach - Freshman Soccer
Reports to: Athletic Director
Location: High School
Available: ASAP
Terms of Employment Stipend in accordance with EDR Contract as stated in the PEA Collective Bargaining Agreement.
Description Pennridge School District is seeking a dedicated, experienced, and student-centered individual to serve as the Head Coach for our freshman soccer program. This position plays a critical role in developing student‑athletes both on and off the field, fostering a culture of excellence, sportsmanship, and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage all aspects of the freshman soccer program at the high school level.
Plan, organize, and supervise practices and competitions.
Ensure the physical and emotional safety of all student‑athletes.
Promote academic achievement, character development, and personal responsibility.
Supervise assistant coaches and collaborate with athletic department staff.
Maintain and inventory equipment and uniforms.
Represent the program positively within the school and the broader community.
Comply with school, district, league, and state athletic association policies and regulations.
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
Prior coaching experience, preferably at the high school level.
Knowledge of rules, strategies, and techniques of the sport.
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and staff.
Preferred Qualifications
Valid teaching certificate (if applicable or required by district).
CPR/First Aid certification.
NFHS coaching certification or willingness to obtain.
Experience managing budgets, schedules, and program development.

Child Abuse Clearance (Act 151)
FBI Fingerprint Clearance (Act 114)
School Personnel Health Form (Physical and TB test)
PDE 6004 Form (Act 24)
Sexual Misconduct/Abuse Disclosure Release Form(s) (Act 168)
Physical and Clearances must be dated within the last 12-months. TB must be dated within the last 90-days.
