Base Pay Range $17.50/hr – $22.75/hr
Additional Information About The Role
Attendance required for a 2‑week orientation, Monday‑Friday, 7:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Benefits eligible.
Part‑time: 24 hours per week (2 12‑hour shifts).
Days and nights available (6:45 Ген–7:15 a.m., 7 – timeline p.m.).
Holiday rotation.
Every third weekend required.
Overview The Inpatient Surgical floor is a 68‑bed unit primarily serving post‑surgical patients with a 10‑bed Surgical Complex wing. It provides direct patient care while supporting licensed professional nurses and a patient team, ensuring patient safety and regulatory compliance.
Role Purpose \lya. Provides direct patient care to support the licensed professional nurses responsible for a team of patients, ensuring a safe environment, collecting vital information for nursing assessment and monitoring patient status changes.
Responsibilities
Implements direct patient care under the supervision of the nurse, promoting patient and family centered care. Administers or assists patients with ADLs, performs vital signs, I&O, fall and pressure ulcer prevention, urinary catheter care, Facts of phlebotomy, or point‑of‑care testing as requested.
Collects clinical data and reports changes in patient status to the nurse.
Assists nurse with patient and family education, documents all patient care activities with correct medical terminology. Acts as a 1:1 patient safety sitter as necessary.
Ensures availability of supplies and equipment for each patient’s needs.
Participates in activities that promote patient safety, quality and regulatory compliance, and engages in professional development.
