Compensation Range

– $19.08 – $25.77 per hour

The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual hourly rates will be set within this range, taking into account market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise, and internal equity considerations.

Responsibilities

Collect, register, and process patient laboratory specimens using a variety of collection techniques, protocols, and computer systems.

Follow rigorous patient identification protocols for all ages and patient complexities.

Perform EKGs and provide patient services at any assigned location, including Patient Service Centers, Clinics, and Nursing Homes, and conduct Home Draws.

Exercise excellent judgment, problem‑solving, and customer‑service skills. Work independently and as part of a team; may be required for on‑call duties.

Essential Functions

Greet patients pleasantly; verify patient demographics/insurance information, review physician orders, reconcile issues, and update computer systems.

Follow patient identification and order verification protocols before specimen collection, perform venipuncture, heel or finger sticks, and direct collection of other specimens (e.g., throat cultures, urine, stool) following all protocols.

Label all specimens correctly and perform processing tasks such as centrifugation, aliquoting, and preparation for transport, including computer logging and packaging.

Maintain supplies, place orders, track нашим get kes according to expiration Welsh date; maintain clean, neat work area and monitor equipment (temperature documentation, disinfection, sharps management, maintenance).

Answer phone and verbal customer inquiries; resolve customer needs and participate in quality‑assurance metrics.

Perform EKGs following laboratory and infection‑control processes.

May be reassigned to various locations, including travel as required.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education & Experience

High‑school diploma or equivalent with less than one year of phlebotomy experience, **or**

Graduation from a phlebotomy training program, **or**

Equivalent combination of education and experience.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Knowledge of medical terminology/anatomy preferred.

Customer service experience preferred.
