Job Overview
The Aide Nurse/Counselor/Campus Compliance Coordinator will assist the school nurse by maintaining order and organization in the school clinic, entering documentation on the computer and in student files, assisting with care of students, and contacting the public by phone, in writing, or in person as necessary. The incumbent will also support the school counselor and campus compliance coordinator (CCC) with meeting organization, data entry, dissemination of student referral packets, district and state testing programs, and attendance at required training.
Documentation of Health‑Related Procedures
Maintain documentation of all clinic visits.
Maintain health‑related records such as immunizations, screenings, dispensing of medication, and other areas as needed.
Maintain student confidentiality at all times.
Communication and Response
Effectively respond to students, staff, parents, and community to meet health‑related needs; interpret and respond to inquiries; supervise students and student workers.
Administer first aid in accordance with School Health Services procedures (Red Cross guidelines).
Dispense medications as directed by the school nurse and in accordance with School Health Services procedures.
Identify students with illness or injury, determine level of care required, and act appropriately.
Act as the unlicensed diabetes care assistant for the campus.
Clerical Support
Organize data, perform numerical calculations, data entry, and alphabetizing. Operate a computer, applicable software (including spreadsheets and word processing), and standard office equipment effectively. Duplicate materials, generate correspondence, order supplies, prepare reports, and maintain records and logs as directed.
Assist the counselor and CCC by preparing forms, filing, maintaining school records, arranging meetings, disseminating information to campus and district staff and parents, requesting and sending school records for students, and assisting with the preparation of test booklets and answer documents for district and state assessments.
Assist students with minor needs and concerns when presented to the counselor’s office.

Qualification Requirements
High School diploma or GED.
Certified in First Aid, CPR & AED Usage.
General clerical and computer skills.
Good communication and interpersonal skills, both orally and in writing.
Ability to work under pressure.

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions Work is performed in classrooms, offices, workstations, and meeting rooms. The position requires occasional walking, standing, sitting, bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and lifting or carrying items weighing less than 40 lb. The employee regularly uses hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reaches with hands and arms; talks or hears. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus. Attendance at conferences and professional development is required. Work involves everyday risks and discomforts that require normal safety precautions when operating equipment or performing job duties. May work prolonged or irregular hours and must maintain emotional control under stress.
