Examples Of Work Performed For Support Tech Tier 1
Answer staff calls and assists with questions in person and via phone on all company supported applications
Troubleshoot basic computer problems and determine source
Advise staff on appropriate action
Serve as liaison between staff and Tier 2 teammates to resolve issues
Provide recommendations on company application and hardware purchases
Document resolutions for future reference
Examples could include: add, update, and remove users from Active Directory, MS Exchange, Cisco phone system, Citrix applications, and Unix
Troubleshoot printing, desktop hardware and software, user permission issues and point of sale hardware
Perform any other duties as directed by management

Employment Standards For Support Tech Tier 1
Degree in computer science, MIS, or business administration supplemented with one or more courses or certifications in current technology preferred.
Experience with hardware and software installation in a PC environment.
General knowledge of new technologies and business software.
Knowledge of Windows desktop products and of setting up new users in Active Directory.
Ability to administer user email accounts and support networked printers and multi-function printing devices; working knowledge of PC components.
Ability to manage multiple projects, activities, and tasks simultaneously.
Facilitation and change management skills.
Highly developed verbal and written communications.
Ability to learn and comprehend new technologies with minimal management.
Basic typing; ability to repetitively use arms, hands and fingers; ability to communicate effectively with team members.
Positive attitude when working with customers.
Knowledge of employment and merchandise handling procedures.
PHYSICAL ACTIVITY REQUIREMENTS To successfully perform the essential functions of the job, an employee must be able to perform the following: stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pulling, talking, hearing/listening and repetitive motion.
Heavy Guð Work Lifting up to 45 lbs occasionally.
