Job Summary Eagan is seeking a head coach for the high school boys soccer program. The head coach is responsible for leading and developing a competitive program that emphasizes skill development, sportsmanship, teamwork, and character. The coach will create a positive, inclusive environment that supports student‑athletes both on and off the field.

Primary Responsibilities

Plan and run daily practices that focus on skill development, team concepts, conditioning, and safety.

Coach and manage all aspects of games and competitions.

Build and maintain a positive team culture aligned with school and district values.

Support the academic success and well‑being of student‑athletes.

Communicate effectively with players, parents, assistant coaches, and school administration.

Hire, supervise, and collaborate with assistant coaches.

Follow all school, district, conference, and state high school league rules and policies.

Promote sportsmanship and represent the school in a positive manner.

Manage equipment, uniforms, and facilities in coordination with the athletic department.

Attend required meetings, trainings, and professional development sessions.

Program Leadership

Develop and oversee the entire boys soccer program, including relationships with youth and middle school programs.

Encourage multi‑sport participation and collaboration with other school programs.

Help with offseason planning, player development, and program continuity.

Qualifications

High school or club soccer coaching experience preferred.

Knowledge of soccer fundamentals, strategy, and skill development.

Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills.

Ability to build positive relationships with students and families.

Commitment to student safety, inclusion, and character development.

Must meet all district and state coaching certification and background check requirements.

Preferred Attributes

Experience working with high school‑aged students.

Ability to teach and connect with athletes of varying skill levels.

Commitment to ongoing learning and professional growth.

Responsible To Assistant Principal for Curriculum and Athletics

Compensation According to contractual agreement.
