Established in 1994, Nauticus is a maritime discovery center that hosts 350,000 visitors annually and is home to the Nauticus Museum, Sail Nauticus sailing center, Schooner Virginia, the Battleship Wisconsin and the Half Moone Cruise Terminal. Nauticus’ mission is to benefit the community through education, impactful experiences and by sharing access to maritime resources. Nauticus is seeking a talented Electronics Technician II. The ideal candidate will install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electronic equipment and systems, and exhibit.

Through interactive exhibits and STEM to STERN programming, Nauticus uses the museum, Battleship Wisconsin, sailing center, and Schooner Virginia to tell the story of the maritime environment, industry, and the military.
Department Starting Hiring Salary: $53,654.39
Essential functions include but are not limited to:
Installs electronic components, replacement parts, and system upgrades
Troubleshoots and diagnoses equipment issues using technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic tools and recommends replacement parts or upgrades.
Gathers technical data and system information to support maintenance records, reports, and operational decisions
Provides supervisory support, including task coordination, workflow oversight, and mentoring of junior personnel
Operates and maintains projection equipment, performing duties as a projectionist for presentations, training, or events
Perform repairs, preventive maintenance, and installation of electronic equipment by interpreting technical manuals and documentation
Install electronic components and systems using appropriate tools, test equipment, and reference materials, while providing progress reports as required
Gather diagnostic information on failed electronics, including contacting manufacturers and local vendors to determine repair options and technical solutions
Work requires knowledge of a specific vocational, administrative, or technical nature which may be obtained with six months/one year of advanced study or training past the high school equivalency. Junior college, vocational, business, technical or correspondence schools are likely sources. Appropriate certification may be awarded upon satisfactory WHEN? completion of advanced study or training.
Two years experience in electronics верш? or as an Electronics Technician.
Work Hours Wednesday through Sunday; 9am to 5:30pm. Nights and weekends as operationally needed.
