Senior SAP Technical Consultant

Job Title: Senior SAP PP Consultant (S/4HANA – Steel Industry) Location: Remote Travel: Onsite travel to Ohio plant during key project phases Start Date: Immediate Duration: Long-term engagement *Experience with Steel industry is a must* Job Summary We are seeking a highly experienced Senior SAP PP Consultant with 15+ years of SAP experience, recent end-to-end S/4HANA implementation exposure, and strong Variant Configuration (VC) expertise, preferably within the Steel or Metals manufacturing industry. The consultant will play a critical role in a long-term S/4HANA transformation, supporting complex, configurable manufacturing processes. Key Responsibilities Lead SAP PP solution design, configuration, and deployment in an S/4HANA environment Facilitate business process workshops and translate requirements into scalable PP solutions Configure and optimize PP processes Design, configure, and support SAP Variant Configuration (VC) for complex, configurable steel/manufactured products Apply Steel / Metals industry-specific PP and VC scenarios, including make-to-stock, make-to-order, and engineer-to-order models Work closely with SAP SD, MM, QM, FI/CO, PM and technical teams to ensure seamless integration Support SIT, UAT, cutover, and go-live activities Provide post-go-live production support and continuous improvement recommendations Mentor junior consultants and contribute to documentation and best practices Must-Have Qualifications 15+ years of SAP PP consulting experience Hands-on S/4HANA implementation experience (recent and relevant) Strong SAP Variant Configuration (VC) experience in manufacturing environments Proven experience in the Steel or Metals industry End-to-end full lifecycle implementation experience Deep understanding of manufacturing planning, execution, and configurable products Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills Ability to work mostly remote with flexibility for onsite travel during key phases Preferred Qualifications Experience with Advanced Variant Configuration (AVC) in S/4HANA Exposure to PP-DS, IBP, or APO integrations Knowledge of PM (Plant Maintenance) Experience working with large-scale US manufacturing plants Prior leadership or solution architect responsibilities
