Marshalltown Hospital - Emergency Medical Services is searching for a driven Paramedic to join our extraordinary team. Our service boasts a fleet of seven ambulances and one SUV, delivering critical pre-hospital 911 care across Marshall County and parts of Jasper and Grundy Counties. We also handle interfacility transports for several UnityPoint Health locations. With over 7,000 calls/incidents each year, you'll face exciting and diverse challenges every day. Find a fulfilling career and make a difference with UnityPoint Health. Responsibilities: Assess the needs of patients and families, providing appropriate prehospital medical care. Adapt and adjust the patient's care plan according to the patient's needs in the prehospital setting. Promptly complete documentation to assure an accurate legal record of patient's care. Carry out high quality patient care while following the scope of practice set out by the State of Iowa Public Health Department Bureau of EMS and this ambulance service. Must be able to transport a behavioral health patient utilizing an ambulance or secure car. Qualifications: High school graduate or equivalent. Successful completion of EMS training from an approved training course. Valid Iowa Chauffeur's License. Current certification at EMT-PM level is required. Writes, reads, comprehends and speaks fluent English. Basic computer knowledge using word processing, spreadsheet, email, and web browser.
