In addition to supervised patient care, the RT extern will assume responsibility for the maintenance of a variety of respiratory therapy equipment and assist RT staff with departmental processes as needed.Job Description:Key Accountabilities:Assists in the care of patients with respiratory problems in all areas of the hospital under the supervision of a licensed respiratory therapist. Develops critical thinking skills. Gains awareness of the role of the respiratory therapist in a hospital setting. Assumes responsibility for the maintenance of respiratory therapy equipment. Assists respiratory therapy staff with departmental processes. Takes responsibility for own professional growth and development.
