Pay Rate: EMPF: starting wage $35.75/hour
(averages $750 per 7-day rotation) Separate hourly training wages from pay range. Additional retention bonus of $25/day for each year served with Adventure Medics. If deployed to California or Alaska, hourly rates may vary due to state specific labor laws. Roles and Responsibilities
Provide ALS and BLS medical support Knowledge of radio systems, navigation, and wildland fire behavior Liaise with incident command staff, other agency personnel, and local fire assets in a courteous and professional manner Safely operate vehicles, including but not limited to trucks, ATVs, and UTVs Complete incident, company, and patient paperwork accurately and efficiently Maintain and secure narcotics and narcotic documentation as per SOG Perform basic maintenance on equipment including vehicles and line gear Perform other work-related duties as direct by Team Lead/Supervisor/Wildland Manager Necessary Qualifications
Current state Paramedic license in good standing, Oregon highly recommended AND Current BLS/CPR and ACLS certifications Physically fit and capable of passing an arduous WCPT test (pack test) Minimum 1-year experience in emergency medicine ICS-100, ICS-200, IS-700, IS-800 Preferred Qualifications
NREMT certification Licensure in an EMS Compact State ATV/UTV Operator Wildland FFT1 All Wildland Team Members
Must attend a Wildland Orientation week, pass all skills and physical fitness testing Full day rates are paid for travel to/from the fire and the Adventure Medics headquarters in Bend, OR Shifts will be a minimum of 16 hours while on assignment (providers are contracted to incidents as a 24-hour resource) Uniform and equipment provided (wildland boots not provided)
