Certified Surgical Technician

Job Title: Certified Surgical Technician Location: Eagle Pass, TX Duration: 3 months with possible extension Shift: Days , 6:30am to 3:30pm, Monday to Friday, 8 to 12 hours a day (depends on cases) On Call: Yes, every other weekend and sometimes 2 to 3 days a week on the week you are on call Key Responsibilities: Preparing sterile operating rooms for surgeries. Sterilizing equipment and instruments. Stocking adequate supplies for surgery. Preparing patients for surgery by washing and disinfecting incision sites. Providing support during surgery by passing instruments and other supplies. Tracking surgical supplies. Staying up-to-date on surgical technology, medical terminology, and procedures. Working well with surgeons, surgical assistant, nurses and general surgical team. Helping provide great patient care. Requirements: BLS (AHA). NBSTSA. 2 Yr of recent experience in a Acute Hospital.
