The Role
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Associate Personal Injury Litigation Attorney to handle an active litigation caseload. The ideal candidate will be experienced, self-driven, and ready to take on responsibilities from case initiation through trial.
Responsibilities:
Represent clients in all phases of personal injury litigation Draft and file pleadings, motions, and discovery Take and defend depositions of witnesses and experts Conduct mediations, pre-trial hearings, and court appearances Try cases to jurors in Ohio courts Responsible for some pre-litigation files Interview clients and witnesses, gather evidence, and develop case strategies Negotiate settlements with opposing parties and insurance companies Work closely with paralegals, investigators, and support staff Maintain meticulous case records and documentation Stay updated on legal developments affecting personal injury practice Requirements Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school Licensed and in good standing to practice in Ohio Minimum 1 year of experience in personal injury litigation Minimum 2-5 years of plaintiff or defense personal injury practice Strong grasp of case management, pleadings, discovery, and trial prep Excellent research, analytical, and negotiation skills Strong communication and interpersonal abilities Ability to meet deadlines and manage caseload independently and as part of a team Preferred Qualifications Experience handling motor vehicle accident cases, including truck accidents Trial experience (at least one jury trial preferred) Active membership in the Ohio State Bar Association, Ohio Association for Justice, or American Association for Justice Civil trial advocacy certification is a plus What We Offer Competitive salary based on experience Comprehensive benefits package including health insurance Paid time off (vacation, sick leave, and holidays) Career development opportunities and professional growth A supportive, team-oriented environment How to Apply
