Surgical Technologist

UOC Surgical Services is currently seeking a full-time surgical technologist to work in our ambulatory surgery center located in State College.
The Surgical Technologist is an integral part of the operating room team, assuming the role of scrubbing and assisting the surgeon during a surgical procedure. Prepares and maintains a sterile field for surgical equipment, instruments, and supplies for the duration of the surgical case, under the supervision of the Registered Nurse. Also responsible to function as a Sterilization Technician with cleaning, assembling and sterilizing all equipment, supplies and/or instruments, and assists with materials management. The Surgical Technologist reports to the Chief Nursing Officer.
QUALIFICATIONS
* High school graduate or equivalent.
* Completion of a Surgical Technology program. Certification Required if recent grad.
* At least (1) year experience in an ambulatory surgical center, or acute care hospital operating room.
* Current BLS certification

Pay: $23.00 - $29.00 per hour
