ZAGG, Inc. is hiring: mophie Director Amazon in Midvale

ZAGG, Inc., Midvale, UT, United States

About Mophie

mophie is the most trusted name in mobile power — a brand built on fifteen years of innovation. As a ZAGG brand, mophie is entering an ambitious new chapter: rebuilding its direct‑to‑consumer business, deepening its relationship with the most passionate Apple users on the planet, and scaling a performance marketing engine that can compete at the highest level. Amazon is one of the most important channels in that engine — and this hire is the person who runs it.

The Opportunity

Amazon represents one of mophie's largest and most strategically important revenue channels. This is not a coordinator role or a campaign manager role. The Senior Manager of Amazon is a channel owner – responsible for strategy, execution, profitability, and growth across Amazon US and Canada.

Working in close partnership with the Senior Director of Performance Marketing and the CMO, this person will help shape mophie's Amazon strategy from the ground up – and share day‑to‑day execution responsibilities alongside a boutique agency partner. This is a hands‑on role: you will be constantly in the data, analyzing performance, and triggering optimizations directly. The agency extends the team's capacity; this role owns the outcomes.

What You Will Own

Channel Strategy

  • Partner with the Senior Director of Performance Marketing and CMO to develop mophie's Amazon channel strategy – including assortment prioritization, forecasting, pricing architecture, content standards, and media investment approach.
  • Define how Amazon fits within the broader DTC and performance marketing strategy, and ensure the channel is pulling in the same direction as the rest of the business.
  • Bring a long‑term view to the channel: build for sustainable, profitable growth – not short‑term revenue spikes that erode margin or brand equity.

Day‑to‑Day Execution

  • Own the daily operation of mophie's Amazon US and Amazon Canada channels – listings, content, inventory coordination, promotions, buy‑box health, compliance, and seller performance metrics.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact and strategic lead for the agency partner – setting direction, reviewing work, holding the agency accountable to performance standards, and escalating issues quickly.
  • Ensure listing quality is consistently high: titles, bullets, A+ content, imagery, and brand store are always optimized and on‑brand.
  • Monitor and respond to competitive activity, pricing shifts, and algorithm changes with speed and precision.
  • Monitor and respond to Amazon compliance inquiries. Coordinate with Amazon and product teams to submit compliance documents in a timely manner.

Paid Media – Amazon Ads & DSP

  • Suggest the Amazon Ads strategy across Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands, and Sponsored Display – with a clear framework for campaign structure, keyword strategy, bid management, and budget pacing.
  • Develop and recommend Amazon DSP campaigns that extend mophie's reach beyond search – retargeting, conquest, and audience‑based prospecting.
  • Work with the agency on campaign execution while maintaining direct visibility into account structure, performance, and optimization decisions.
  • Ensure media investment is always tied to contribution margin targets – not just revenue or ROAS in isolation.

P&L & Profitability

  • Maintain product‑level contribution margin visibility across the mophie Amazon assortment – understanding the true profitability of each SKU after ad spend, fees, and fulfillment costs.
  • Use margin data to drive acceleration and de‑prioritization decisions: double down on SKUs with strong contribution profiles, pull back on poor performers.
  • Flag pricing, fee, or cost structure issues proactively.
  • Own the Amazon channel P&L and report performance clearly to the Sr. Director of Performance Marketing and CMO on a regular cadence.

Assortment & Product Strategy

  • Partner with Product Marketing to ensure the right SKUs are represented on Amazon with the right content, pricing, and visibility.
  • Identify assortment gaps, new product opportunities, and underperforming listings – and bring data‑backed recommendations to leadership.
  • Manage variation architecture, parent‑child relationships, and catalog hygiene to ensure the mophie storefront is always clean and shoppable.

Cross‑Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with the Performance Marketing team to align Amazon media strategy with broader paid channel goals and budget allocation.
  • Collaborate with the Brand and Creative team to ensure Amazon content – A+ pages, brand store, imagery – meets mophie's visual and messaging standards.
  • Partner with Operations and Finance on inventory forecasting, replenishment planning, and fee management to protect in‑stock rates and margin.
  • Work with product teams to provide intelligence for market opportunities. Provide feedback to product teams to improve products based on consumer reviews. Provide initial forecasts for new potential products within the mophie roadmap.

Measurement & Reporting

  • Own Amazon channel KPIs: revenue, contribution margin by SKU, ACoS, TACoS, ROAS, organic rank, buy‑box percentage, and review velocity.
  • Report performance accurately and completely – platform metrics and business metrics are not the same thing, and this role is accountable to both.
  • Build and maintain reporting cadences that give leadership clear, actionable visibility into channel health without noise or spin.

Experience – What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years of hands‑on Amazon channel management experience, with a demonstrated track record of managing seven‑figure annual Amazon revenue.
  • Deep fluency in Amazon Seller Central and/or Vendor Central – you know the platform inside and out, including its quirks, limitations, and opportunities.
  • Proven experience managing Amazon Ads (Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands, Sponsored Display) and Amazon DSP – including campaign architecture, optimization, and reporting.
  • Experience managing an agency or external partner relationship, including setting direction, reviewing deliverables, and holding partners accountable to results.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage channel profitability at the SKU level – you understand contribution margin, not just top‑line revenue.
  • Experience with Amazon Canada or other international Amazon marketplaces is a strong plus.
  • Background in consumer electronics, accessories, or a high‑SKU‑count consumer product category is preferred.

Skills & Capabilities

  • Amazon platform mastery: listings, advertising, catalog management, A+ content, brand store, and performance analytics.
  • Financial fluency: you think in contribution margin, ACoS, TACoS, and net revenue – not just gross sales.
  • Agency management: you know how to get the best out of an agency partner – clear briefs, accountability structures, and a collaborative working relationship.
  • Analytical rigor: you can build a reporting framework, identify what the data is actually saying, and make decisions from it quickly.
  • Strong communication: you can summarize channel performance clearly for a CMO, brief an agency precisely, and elevate issues without drama.
  • Attention to detail: listing errors, content inconsistencies, and catalog issues don't slip past you.

The Intangibles

  • You treat Amazon like a business, not a task list – you are always thinking about how to grow the channel sustainably and profitably.
  • You are proactive by default: you surface issues before they become problems and bring solutions when you raise concerns.
  • You hold agency partners to a high standard while maintaining a productive, collaborative relationship.
  • You are comfortable operating with ambiguity in a fast‑moving environment and can prioritize effectively when everything feels urgent.

Compensation & Benefits

mophie offers a competitive compensation package commensurate with experience, including:

  • Competitive base salary + annual performance bonus
  • Equity participation (ZAGG company plan)
  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision coverage
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Generous PTO and paid holidays
  • Product benefits – you'll be well powered
  • On‑site role at our SLC headquarters

How To Apply

This role is based at mophie's headquarters in Salt Lake City, Utah and is an on‑site position. Remote applications will not be considered.

If you are an Amazon operator who knows the channel cold, thinks in margin, and wants to build something meaningful – we want to hear from you.
