School Psychologist.

The School Psychologist supports elementary students by promoting academic achievement, social-emotional development, and positive behavior through assessment, consultation, and evidence-based interventions. This role collaborates closely with educators, families, and school teams to create supportive learning environments that help all students succeed.

Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational assessments to support eligibility and educational planning. Interpret assessment results and present findings clearly to families and multidisciplinary teams. Participate in IEP and eligibility meetings, contributing psychological expertise and recommendations. Provide consultation to teachers and staff on academic, behavioral, and social-emotional interventions. Support the development and monitoring of behavior intervention plans and MTSS frameworks. Deliver short-term counseling and crisis intervention services as needed. Collaborate with families, administrators, and community providers to support student needs. Maintain compliant documentation and reports in accordance with state and federal regulations.

Qualifications: Valid Illinois School Psychologist certification or licensure. Master’s or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or related field. Experience working with elementary-aged students in a school setting preferred. Strong knowledge of assessment tools, special education law, and IEP processes. Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and families. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
