About the Role We are seeking a highly skilled
Enterprise Critical Infrastructure Power & Cooling SME
to support large-scale transformation of field locations and IT physical infrastructure. This role will focus on designing, building, and validating
MDF (Main Distribution Frame) and IDF (Intermediate Distribution Frame)
environments to support modern server and network requirements. You will work across cross-functional teams to deliver
best-in-class server room environments , ensuring scalability, efficiency, and adherence to industry standards. This is a hands-on role that requires both technical expertise and project execution capabilities in fast-paced, evolving environments. Key Responsibilities Lead end-to-end delivery of MDF/IDF server room builds across multiple locations Perform and validate
IT heat-load calculations (kW to BTU/hr)
and ensure proper HVAC sizing with growth capacity Validate mechanical design including airflow, temperature control, humidity, and rack placement to avoid hotspots Coordinate with facilities and vendors to ensure HVAC systems are installed, tested, and commissioned prior to deployment Ensure compliance with
ASHRAE environmental standards
and implement monitoring/sensor placement Manage multiple construction and infrastructure tasks simultaneously (electrical, mechanical, structural) Work closely with general contractors, electricians, and low/high voltage teams during implementation Interpret blueprints and technical designs to ensure alignment with IT infrastructure requirements Enforce structured cabling and infrastructure standards (copper, fiber, UTP) Provide regular project updates, documentation, and readiness sign-offs Operate within
SAFe Agile and PMP-based project frameworks Required Qualifications 7+ years of experience in
construction, architecture, or critical infrastructure environments Strong expertise in
UPS systems, power distribution, and cooling systems (HVAC) Solid understanding of electrical concepts such as
single-phase, three-phase power, transformers, and surge protection Hands-on experience with
MDF/IDF builds, rack & stack, and IT infrastructure environments Knowledge of industry standards: ANSI/TIA-568, TIA-569, TIA-606 J-STD-607 NFPA 70 (NEC) ASHRAE, BICSI TDMM Experience with
cooling capacity sizing (kW, BTU/hr, tons)
and airflow management (hot/cold aisle) Ability to read and interpret construction blueprints and technical proposals Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and working in active construction environments Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Project, PowerPoint, Word) Strong mathematical and analytical skills (temperature, humidity, load calculations)
