Purchaser Position Overview JK Concepts is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Purchaser to lead our procurement efforts.
This role is essential to ensuring materials are sourced efficiently, cost-effectively, and aligned with project timelines. The ideal candidate will excel at building vendor relationships, negotiating pricing, and maintaining strong control over purchasing processes and inventory. $65,000 – $75,000, based on experience Competitive benefits package (Medical, Dental, Life Insurance) Paid time off and holidays Opportunities for growth and advancement Key Responsibilities Oversee all aspects of material procurement for manufacturing and project needs Source, evaluate, and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers Negotiate pricing and manage vendor agreements to ensure best value Procure materials including laminates, hardware, hardwoods, sheet goods, finishes, acrylic, and related products Manage purchase orders, track lead times, and maintain accurate records Monitor inventory levels and place orders proactively to prevent delays Expedite materials as needed to meet project deadlines Identify inefficiencies in purchasing processes and implement improvements Qualifications Minimum 2 years of purchasing experience in millwork, wood manufacturing, or construction Strong communication skills with both internal teams and vendors Solid financial acumen with a focus on cost control and budgeting Ability to read and interpret bid documents, specifications, spreadsheets, and blueprints Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities Team-oriented with a strong work ethic Experience with Innergy ERP software is a plus Equal Opportunity Employer JK Concepts is an Equal Opportunity Employer and is committed to creating a diverse and inclusive workplace.
