Weekly Estimated Pay:

$3,920 - $4,200 (competitive locum tenens NP pay)

Employment Type:

Schedule:

Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm (lunch 12-1pm); Fridays are 4-hour shifts. Guaranteed hours: 8 hours per day Monday through Thursday, and 4 hours on Friday.

Job Requirements

Active California Nurse Practitioner license (CA NP) and California DEA (CA DEA)

Board Certification required (Acute Care/Oncology-related certification preferred)

BLS Certification (American Heart Association)

Minimum 2 years of recent clinical practice in hematology oncology or oncology acute care

Ability to submit clinical activity logs and hospital privilege documentation

Bone marrow biopsy experience preferred (outpatient procedure proficiency a plus)

Fellowship in a relevant specialty preferred

Gaps greater than 3 months in clinical activity must be explained

Responsibilities

Provide acute care services in hematology oncology within an outpatient setting (oncology NP duties)

Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations and manage individualized treatment plans

Oversee and participate in chemotherapy administration and infusion clinic workflows

Perform bone marrow biopsies when required (preferred)

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams-oncologists, pharmacists, infusion nurses, and support services-for comprehensive patient care

Maintain accurate medical documentation and comply with hospital privileging and credentialing requirements

Manage a patient panel of approximately 12-14 encounters per shift

Adhere to scheduled hours and obtain preapproval for any overtime as needed
