Salary: $120,000 - $160,000 per year A bit about us: Plaintiff-side litigation firm that represents individuals in injury and abuse-related cases. The firm handles cases related to personal injury (car accidents, catastrophic injuries, etc.); elder abuse / nursing home abuse; wrongful death; medical malpractice, and employment law. Why join us? Bonuses based upon individual and team contribution Car allowance after 1 year of employment 401(k) Health insurance Dental and vision insurance Paid time off (vacation, sick) Job Details Responsibilities Provide legal representation for victims and their families in wrongful death and elder abuse, neglect, financial exploitation, and other forms of mistreatment. Manage a caseload of elder abuse cases, from pre-litigation through trial. Create a discovery plan, execute on discovery, meet and confer follow-up, and file discovery motions. Take and defend witness depositions. Qualifications 5+ years of civil litigation experience in California state and federal courts. JD degree from an accredited law school. Admission to the California state bar. Experience in business litigation or medical malpractice preferred. At least 1 jury trial as first chair. Experience with binding arbitration hearings, law and motion hearings, and second-chair trial experience. Experience taking and defending depositions of all types of witnesses (lay, professional, and expert). Strong law and motion experience with strong writing skills.
