Reliability, innovation, and the highest quality manufacturing standards are the foundation of everything we do.Why join us?Competitive Compensation: Competitive base salary (DOE) + Bonuses401(k) PlanComprehensive Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life & Disability InsuranceGenerous PTO & Paid HolidaysMission-Driven Work: Directly support the U.S. Navy submarine fleet with life-critical oxygen generation technologyLegacy & Stability: Join a company with nearly 130 years of engineering heritage and a continuously expanding defense contract portfolioOn-site role (office, lab, and occasional field/shipboard work; up to 10% domestic or international travel)Job DetailsKey Responsibilities and DutiesDesign, evaluate, and support proprietary electrical equipment for U.S. military oxygen generation systemsSelect components and equipment based on review and analysis of customer-defined specificationsCreate engineering drawings and procedures to support the manufacture and test of mil-spec equipmentDevelop electrical schematics, harness drawings, wire tabulation lists, and detail/assembly drawings for system electrical componentsPrepare and review documentation for engineering changes and product design verificationWrite component specifications, manufacturing and assembly procedures, test plans, and test proceduresDevelop new products and product improvements for military applicationsSupport Purchasing and Inspection groups by resolving vendor technical issuesSupport Production Test / Field Service Group with system and component testing and troubleshootingAssist with design, documentation, and maintenance of in-house test facilities and equipmentQualifications NeededEducation & Clearance: B.S. in Electrical Engineering; must be a U.S. Citizen and able to secure a Department of Defense Secret Security ClearanceMinimum 10 years of electrical engineering experience, preferably in a defense industry environment with knowledge of military specificationsExperience or strong background in Proton Exchange Membrane (PEM) technologies — electrolyzer / fuel cell systems, oxygen / hydrogen systems, chemical processing, gas separation, gas and liquid delivery, water treatment, or military / submarine equipmentStrong background in electrical and electronic systems, power distribution and conversion, VME and PLC microprocessor-based control systems, and electronic packaging for military submarine applicationsWorking knowledge of the National Electrical Code and safety standards and engineering documentation processesProven ability to work independently as a self-starter and collaboratively as a team player with strong organizational skillsFamiliarity with fleet support and troubleshooting aboard U.S. Navy submarines preferredProficient in MS Office Suite; familiarity with PTC Creo, Windchill, and network administration preferredPreferred knowledge in mechanical and chemical engineering disciplinesAble to lift up to 25 lbs, utilize hand tools/test equipment, climb ladders, and pass through submarine hatch openings; able to travel up to 10% domestic or internationalInterested in hearing more?
