Role Objectives
Forced to drive Moose Toys’ global e‑Commerce strategy with a primary focus of driving our Amazon volume and revenue. This role is focused on attacking the ‘white space’ across all facets of e‑Commerce to achieve scalable and sustainable growth at a global level. It serves as the global partner for Amazon, evaluating opportunities and aiming to secure a strategic partnership. The role is also accountable for establishing and executing Moose Toys’ DTC strategy, taking it from zero to hero and defining the product, offering, and go‑to‑market strategy. The VP will support the Chief Commercial Officer with best practices for e‑Commerce across Moose Toys, partnering with regional sales teams, marketing, and product development to maximize our portfolio and meet specific e‑Commerce needs.
Qualifications
- 10–15+ years in sales leadership, preferably in global or enterprise roles.
- Experience building and scaling global sales teams.
- Preferred candidate based in Los Angeles.
- A bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent, is required.
Responsibilities
Develop and Lead Global eCommerce Strategy
- Define Moose’s global eCommerce strategy aligned with CCO objectives and deliver scalable growth.
- Create a global long‑tail strategy with marketing and operations to drive incremental profit.
- Identify priority eCommerce accounts worldwide and devise optimal engagement.
- Coordinate and standardise the approach with eCommerce partners, ensuring best‑practice procedures.
- Explore new white‑space eCommerce platforms such as Taobao, Jumia, JD.com, Rakuten, Coupang, and others.
- Collaborate with category leads, product, and other sales teams to ensure product availability for eCommerce partners, especially Amazon requirements.
Drive Global Amazon Account
- Lead and oversee the global Amazon business, including shipment targets, COAs, sell‑through plans, marketing investments, on‑site advertising, and content execution.
- Plan global Amazon exclusives, eCommerce value bundles, and packaging, including SIOC.
- For new DTR markets, work with local teams to design Amazon launch strategies covering item offerings, pricing, SIOC, traffic and conversion focus, inventory planning, terms, and events.
- In partnership with Marketing, create global best practices around Amazon Advertising, budgeting methods, ad type usage, anticipated ROI, and more.
- Communicate global plans for Amazon/Moose brand launches and pre‑orders.
- Act as the internal expert on global Amazon developments and share changes with local teams and stakeholders.
- In existing Amazon DTR markets, share knowledge, best practices, and long‑tail strategies with local teams.
- Lead implementation of Amazon programs such as Transparency, SIOC, and Brand Registry.
Lead Moose Toys DTC Offering
- Define, build, and manage the DTC strategy, including investment levels, targets, success metrics, and go‑to‑market approach.
- Develop the needed capabilities within the eCommerce team and across the business to reach DTC ambitions.
- Oversee systems and backend infrastructure that support the DTC strategy.
- Collaborate with Marketing and Product on DTC product offerings, including exclusive brands, collaborations, and more.
- Continuously improve and monitor the ROI of the DTC offering to ensure value accretion for Moose Toys.
People Management
- Review resourcing requirements, recruit, interview, select, and train new staff.
- Oversee day‑to‑day workloads and performance of direct reports, providing clear direction, coaching, and support.
- Work with direct reports to set individual KPIs and conduct regular reviews in line with the Moose Performance Management Program.
- Manage training and professional development with timely, constructive feedback.
- Champion Moose culture to ensure direct reports deliver the expected outcomes.
Work Hours
8:30 am – 5:30 pm, Monday to Thursday; 8:30 am – 3:00 pm, Friday. 30‑minute unpaid lunch break daily. Additional hours may be required due to multiple time‑zones. Flexible working options available.
Travel
Approximately 20% domestic travel may be required.
Salary Band
USD $285,000 – $305,000.
