Bayland Health, Bellevue, US, USA

Bayland Health is a fast-growing nutrition and wellness company with a strong presence across Amazon and other e-commerce channels. Our flagship brand, Micro Ingredients, is a leading supplement brand on Amazon, supported by a broad product portfolio and a growing marketplace business.

As we enter the next stage of growth, we are looking for a senior Amazon and marketplace leader to help us move beyond SKU‑volume‑driven growth and build a deeper, more scalable, and more profitable marketplace growth engine.

About the Role

We are seeking a Director / Sr. Director, Amazon & Marketplace Growth to lead the next stage of growth for our Amazon and e-commerce marketplace business. This senior leader will own the marketplace growth strategy, GMV performance, budget planning, profitability, SKU portfolio optimization, and long‑term channel health. Final title will be aligned based on experience, scope, and business impact.

This role will focus on moving the business from broad SKU‑volume growth toward deeper SKU optimization, hero product development, stronger category leadership, and more profitable marketplace execution. The ideal candidate brings deep Amazon marketplace experience, strong business and financial acumen, and a proven track record of scaling consumer product brands through advertising, content, pricing, promotions, analytics, team leadership, and cross‑functional execution.

Key Responsibilities

1. Own Amazon & Marketplace Growth

  • Own growth strategy for Amazon and key e‑commerce marketplace channels, with accountability for GMV, profitability, market share, conversion, ranking, and long‑term channel health.

  • Develop annual and quarterly business plans, including revenue targets, SKU priorities, promotional strategy, channel roadmap, and resource allocation.

  • Shift the business from broad SKU‑volume growth toward deeper SKU optimization, hero product development, and stronger category leadership.

2. Lead Business Performance, Budget & Profitability

  • Lead marketplace business performance, including GMV growth, budget planning, margin improvement, promotion ROI, and SKU‑level profitability.

  • Build data‑driven investment frameworks to determine where to scale, maintain, reduce, or reposition spend across brands, categories, SKUs, campaigns, and platforms.

  • Establish weekly, monthly, and quarterly business reviews to monitor GMV, margin, ACOS, TACOS, ROAS, conversion, ranking, inventory health, and budget pacing.

  • Provide strategic leadership for Amazon Ads, including Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands, Sponsored Display, DSP where applicable, and other retail media opportunities.

  • Set advertising investment strategies based on SKU maturity, margin profile, ranking opportunity, inventory position, review quality, category competitiveness, and growth potential.

  • Build a SKU‑level performance system to identify hero SKUs, growth SKUs, launch SKUs, maintenance SKUs, and underperforming SKUs, and guide resource allocation accordingly.

  • Lead content and conversion optimization across product listings, A+ Content, Brand Store, product images, videos, SEO, pricing, bundling, multipacks, repositioning, promotions, and other growth initiatives.

4. Build Scalable Marketplace Operations

  • Build operating rhythms across marketplace planning, product launches, campaign execution, budget reviews, promotion planning, inventory coordination, and performance reporting.

  • Partner with Product, Finance, Brand, Regulatory, Sales, Supply Chain, and Operations teams to align marketplace priorities with business goals, including product launches, content strategy, compliance, sales forecasting, and operational execution.

  • Identify operational bottlenecks and put systems in place to improve cross‑functional communication, execution quality, compliance, and long‑term marketplace health.

5. Lead and Scale the Amazon Marketplace Team

  • Lead, coach, and develop the existing Amazon marketing team, including the Amazon E‑Commerce Lead, Amazon Ads Managers, and PPC Specialists.

  • Set clear goals, KPIs, priorities, and accountability standards while building a culture of ownership, analytical thinking, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

  • Build and scale the internal e‑commerce marketing organization by identifying hiring needs, adding critical capabilities, and designing team structures that support GMV growth, budget efficiency, and scalable marketplace execution.

  • Manage internal team members as well as external agencies, freelancers, consultants, and marketplace vendors where applicable.

Required Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of Amazon growth levers, including advertising, keyword strategy, organic ranking, listing conversion, A+ Content, pricing, promotions, reviews, inventory, SKU portfolio management, and budget allocation.

  • Strong business and financial acumen, with experience in managing marketplace budgets and key metrics, including GMV, margin, ACOS, TACOS, ROAS, promotion ROI, and SKU‑level profitability.
