Key Responsibilities
Develop and integrate battery models (equivalent‑circuit, aging, physics‑based).
Develop, deploy, and verify state‑estimation algorithms such as battery state of charge, battery state of health, and state of power of a battery.
Develop and integrate power system models including solar arrays, power conversion, and energy storage.
Develop and implement satellite power system fault detection and mitigation.
Work with large datasets to evaluate battery health over life, track model accuracy, and assess system performance against vehicle requirements.

Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
4+ years of experience in simulation, modeling, and state estimation for lithium‑ion battery packs.
2+ years of experience and working knowledge of Matlab or Python to extract, process, and store information from large datasets.
Preferred Qualifications
Battery management system design experience in charging, state estimation, and protection for electric vehicle, drones, satellite, or launch vehicles. Experience developing equivalent circuit, aging, or physics‑based models for lithium‑ion battery systems.
Experience developing degradation models for solar arrays and using event‑based measurements for degradation estimation.
Experience driving requirements for power/battery algorithm design and implementing state‑of‑charge/health/power algorithms in software (embedded or cloud).
Excellent skill at organizing data and communicating key requirements to hardware, software, and test verification teams.
Experience in developing power system fault detection and mitigation.
Experience in full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience. General knowledge of statistical analysis, signal processing, simulations, regression, optimization, and data analysis tools.

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and location. Location: USA, WA, Redmond – 129,200.00 – 174,800.00 USD annually.
