The Director of Amazon will lead Nécessàire’s Amazon channel, owning the full P&L and long-term strategic vision for the Amazon marketplace. This leadership role is responsible for setting the channel direction, managing and developing a dedicated team (including one direct report, Amazon Specialist, and one DSP Freelancer), and driving continued acceleration of revenue, profitability, and brand equity on Amazon. The ideal candidate is a strategic operator with deep Amazon expertise, strong leadership instincts, and a passion for scaling premium beauty brands.


WHAT YOU’LL DO


Channel Leadership & Strategic Vision



  • Own the vision and multi-year roadmap for one of Nécessàire’s key sales channel, setting ambitious goals for revenue, market share, and profitability.

  • Identify and capitalize on emerging trends and market opportunities to drive brand visibility, channel dominance, and sustained competitive advantage.

  • Serve as the executive voice for Amazon internally, partnering with Brand, Creative, Operations, and Finance to align channel strategy with broader business objectives.

  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing Amazon team, including direct management of one Amazon Specialist and oversight of one DSP Freelancer.


Product Optimization & Content Management



  • Ensure all product listings are optimized for Amazon’s search algorithm, including best-in-class content, images, and SEO.

  • Manage and optimize the product catalog, including new product launches, A+ content creation, and enhanced brand content.

  • Monitor and resolve any issues related to product listings, account health, and customer feedback.


Performance, Analytics & Executive Reporting



  • Analyze sales performance and customer data to identify trends, insights, and areas for improvement.

  • Deliver executive-level reporting on channel performance, translating complex data into clear strategic recommendations for leadership.

  • Utilize Amazon analytics tools to track performance, optimize campaigns, and drive data-informed decision‑making.


Advertising & Promotions



  • Define and oversee the full advertising strategy across search, DSP, and video, directing our Amazon Advertising Agency and managing a dedicated DSP Freelancer to maximize performance and efficiency.

  • Develop and execute promotional campaigns to drive traffic, increase conversion rates, and enhance customer loyalty.

  • Monitor and adjust advertising budgets to maximize ROI and achieve sales targets.


Inventory & Supply Chain Management



  • Work closely with the Operations and Demand Planning teams to ensure accurate forecasting, inventory management, and in-stock levels.

  • Monitor and manage Amazon FBA inventory, ensuring optimal stock levels to meet demand while minimizing excess inventory.

  • Monitor and respond to customer reviews, feedback, and inquiries, leveraging insights to improve product offerings and customer experience.

  • Implement strategies to increase positive reviews and ratings, building a strong brand reputation on Amazon.


QUALIFICATIONS



  • 8+ years of experience in eCommerce, with deep expertise in Amazon management, preferably within the beauty or consumer goods industry.

  • Proven track record of driving growth and profitability on Amazon, including expertise in Amazon Seller Central and Amazon Advertising.

  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data, generate insights, and make data‑driven decisions.

  • Proficient in MS Excel and Amazon analytics tools (e.g., Helium 10, Jungle Scout).

  • Proven leadership experience, with demonstrated ability to manage, mentor, and develop direct reports and contract resources.

  • Excellent executive communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence cross‑functionally and present to senior leadership.

  • Passionate about the beauty industry, eCommerce, and staying ahead of market trends.
