Job Description

At Amazon, we're working to be the most customer‑centric company on earth. One customer experience that we’re constantly looking to take to a new level is how we fulfill and deliver orders. Our goal is to exceed the expectations of all our customers by ensuring that their orders, no matter how large or small, are delivered where and when they need them, as quickly, accurately, and cost effectively as possible. To meet this goal, Amazon is continually striving to innovate and provide best‑in‑class service levels through the introduction of pioneering new products and services in the last‑mile delivery space.

We are doing this by building a world‑class last‑mile operation, significantly complemented by Amazon Flex. Amazon Flex works directly with independent contractors—called delivery partners—to make deliveries to our customers. With Amazon Flex, individuals can now be their own boss delivering Amazon packages.

We are seeking a Senior Marketing Manager, Go‑to‑Market (GTM) for Expansion & Growth projects, to join our Amazon Flex Worldwide (WW) Marketing & Driver Communications team. In this role, you will lead strategic, high‑impact, business‑wide expansion projects and growth programs, serving as the single‑threaded marketing leader for the associated go‑to‑market (GTM) strategy. You will work cross‑functionally and across all countries that Amazon Flex operates in, with stakeholders at all levels, to facilitate successful expansion and growth program launches. You will create the end‑to‑end delivery partner lifecycle strategy; developing the plan for how we will acquire, convert, engage and communicate with delivery partners in a way that delights delivery partners and also achieves key expansion and growth program goals.

This role can be located in the Greater Seattle Area or NYC.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish the marketing and communications goals for expansion and growth program launches.

  • Own the end‑to‑end execution of marketing strategy, as well as analysis of program performance and creation of lessons learned.

  • Own the GTM strategy across all aspects of the customer lifecycle, including brand research, paid acquisition, conversion marketing, engagement marketing and communications.

  • Write marketing strategy documents and own all marketing inputs for business and technical requirements documents. Ensure clear communication and coordination of requirements to the business and development teams.

  • Use lessons learned to create global playbooks, toolkits and processes that enable programs to scale.

  • Collaborate closely with technical teams, product managers, marketing and communication stakeholders, legal, public relations, business leaders and international counterparts to deliver expansion and growth programs that scale globally.

  • Leverage automation to improve processes and productivity, and make recommendations to support an organization scaling at rapid pace.

  • Identify, prioritize and communicate key areas for service and business improvement along the key operations metrics.

  • Establish yourself as a motivated self‑starter who flourishes with work in ambiguous, complex and challenging environments of a rapidly evolving business.

A Day in the Life

  • Work closely with Product managers to define the delivery partner experience, identify the right audience to target, and raise the offering to improve attractiveness to the target audience.

  • Size up goals and plan for the entire go‑to‑market motions needed to succeed with the planned launch.

  • Plan roadmap of actions and initiatives needed to meet outcomes and objectives for each phase of the launch.

  • Collaborate across UX, Tech, Product, Safety, Legal and regional marketing teams to articulate and refine the marketing strategy and SOPs.

  • Report on launch readiness and success metrics in weekly business reviews and leadership updates.
