Optometrist

Newsom Eye is seeking a patient‑focused Optometrist to join our established, multi‑specialty ophthalmology practice in Brooksville and Tampa, FL. We are committed to delivering the highest quality of vision care while maintaining a positive, professional, and compassionate environment for both patients and team members. Our ideal candidate is clinically strong, communicates well, and thrives in a fast‑paced medical setting.

*Responsibilities:*

* Perform comprehensive eye exams for new and established patients
* Diagnose and manage ocular disease
* Provide contact lens fittings and follow‑up care
* Co‑manage cataract, refractive, glaucoma, and cornea patients with our surgical team
* Educate patients on treatment plans and vision care
* Maintain accurate and timely EMR documentation
* Collaborate with ophthalmologists, technicians, and clinical staff to support efficient patient flow

*Qualifications:*

* Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree
* Active Florida license (or ability to obtain)
* Strong clinical and interpersonal communication skills
* Experience in medical optometry preferred
* Ability to work effectively in a busy, team‑oriented environment
