Experienced Optometrist Full-Time, On-site

Centennial Eye & Cosmetic Associates is a privately owned Ophthalmology and Optometry practice located in South Aurora on Parker Road and Arapahoe. We specialize in Dry Eye management and treatment, comprehensive eye exams, Cataract surgery with advanced technology, LASIK, IPL Therapy, Blephroplasty. We also offer cosmetic services such as Botox, fillers, sun spot removal, acne scar removal and much more!

With our current Optometrist relocating out of state, we are looking for an energetic Optometrist to partner with us on delivering the highest level of care to our wide variety of patients through education, compassion and advanced technology.

*Optometrist Job Responsibilities:*

* Conduct eye exams using optometric equipment and general diagnostic interpretation.
* Diagnose and treat ocular disease.
* Prescribe eyeglasses, contact lenses, and other vision aids.
* Recommend appropriate patient follow-up and care options.
* Order and review testing such as visual fields, fundus photos, etc.
* Answer questions and provide advice to patients regarding vision and optical issues.
* Deliver outstanding customer service through all patient interactions.
* Diagnose and refer cataract patients to Ophthalmologist.
* Diagnose and treat Dry Eye with various methods including IPL therapy.
* Discuss refractive surgery options with patients and manage pre- and post-op care.
* Discuss optical recommendations and provide a smooth handoff to opticians.
* Participate in office meetings.
* Direct staff and assist in the development of the overall practice.
* Share on call duty with Ophthalmologist


*Work Hours & Benefits*

* Monday – Friday 8:00 am – 5:00 pm. We are closed Saturdays and Sundays

*Optometrist Qualifications/Skills:*

* Applied understanding of general principles of optometry and best practices for the diagnosis and treatment of eye-related disorders and conditions
* Strong interpersonal skills and ability to relate to patients of diverse backgrounds
* Excellent customer service skills
* Ability to maintain patient confidentiality
* General computer proficiency
* Demonstrated problem solving skills and multitasking ability


*Education and Experience Requirements:*

* Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited optometry program
* Active state optometry license
* Valid CPR certificate
* Two-plus years of optometrist experience preferred
