Kemco is currently in the process of ramping up manufacturing capacity to support customer needs and is seeking highly skilled team members to support the manufacturing operations. Our facility is open 7 days a week and utilizes 4 shifts to maximize production across the full week. Shift premiums are offered on the 2nd, 3rd and weekend shifts. Seeking applicants for our 2nd shift Lead, works Monday-Friday 2 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. and pays 10% shift premium. Position Summary Supervise the daily activities and production output of approximately 15-20 employees, 2nd shift, involved in the manufacture of sheet metal and extruded aircraft parts. Areas of responsibility include the following work centers: CNC milling centers, manual milling, turning, grinding, and all hand work that relates to general machine shop practices, and deburring operations. This position will also be responsible for operation of equipment.
Essential Functions · Ensure team members follow company procedures, work instructions, and technical guidelines. Monitor/ensure daily production and quality levels are achieved Ensure technicians have needed supplies and equipment, order as necessary Monitor company tools and equipment for serviceability and proper care and maintenance Keep assigned work areas in 6S compliance Produce and use reports and information system data to monitor team productivity, including thruput and target performance Attend meetings as necessary, provide trend data and recommendations to upper management as required
Skills Required Good problem solving and decision-making skills Strong leadership skills Must be able to read and interpret detailed blueprints, including assembly drawings Must have working knowledge of CNC machining and programming Must have basic computer skills and be able to pull basic database reports using Microsoft Excel Must possess understanding of metal forming Education and Experience Required High school education and a minimum of 5 years' experience in aircraft manufacturing with a minimum of one year as a supervisor. Technical/vocational
training in machine manufacturing preferable. Must possess good reading and writing skills.
