Starting at $17.75/hr Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Material Handler to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the efficient operation of our warehouse by managing the movement of materials and products. This position requires a strong understanding of warehouse processes, safety protocols, and the ability to operate various equipment. Duties Load and unload materials from trucks and containers using appropriate equipment such as pallet jacks, hi-los, and forklifts Accurately track inventory levels using a Warehouse Management System (WMS) and RF scanners to ensure proper stock levels are maintained. Organize and store materials in designated areas to optimize space and accessibility. Assist in shipping and receiving operations, ensuring all products are accounted for and properly documented. Perform regular inspections of equipment to ensure safety compliance with OSHA standards. Collaborate with team members to build pallets for shipment while adhering to quality control standards. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, following all safety protocols to prevent accidents. Requirements Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar role is preferred. Familiarity with warehouse management systems and RF scanning technology is advantageous. Ability to operate material handling equipment such as clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and cranes safely. Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor equipment issues as they arise. Excellent attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions accurately. Physical stamina to lift heavy loads (up to 50 pounds) and stand for extended periods. A commitment to maintaining a safe work environment by adhering to OSHA regulations.
