Pay: $41.36/hr Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Instrumentation Technician to join our maintenance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical and automated systems to support operational efficiency. This role requires expertise in diagnosing complex electrical issues, performing advanced wiring assignments, and programming PLCs and control systems. The Instrumentation Technician will play a critical role in ensuring equipment reliability, while adhering to safety standards and providing technical guidance to junior team members.
Job Duties:
Diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining complex electrical systems, including automated machinery, control panels, relays, circuit breakers, communication systems, and alarms. Installing electrical equipment and components with minimal supervision, following safety protocols and technical specifications. Identifying issues, replacing or repairing faulty components, and troubleshooting defective control modules to restore functionality. Performing advanced wiring tasks, including the installation of power distribution systems, lighting, and electronic control circuits. Assisting and providing technical guidance to junior electricians on maintenance and repair tasks. Demonstrating proficiency in PLC programming, Foxboro systems, and computer-based troubleshooting. Prioritizing safety by adhering to company policies and regulatory guidelines in all job functions.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED equivalent (REQUIRED). Completion of a formal apprenticeship program or equivalent certification. Minimum of 3+ years of experience in electrical systems maintenance, troubleshooting, and instrumentation. Strong knowledge of PLC programming, control systems, and electrical schematics. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
