Director of the Mid-State Teacher Center P/T
Duties:Reports to the Mid-State Teacher Resource Center Policy Board. Coordinates and conducts an ongoing in-service and staff development program for area teachers and paraprofessionals. Conducts a pre-service program for Utica University student teachers. Serves as the liaison to other educational agencies, including, but not limited to, higher education institutions, the Madison-Oneida BOCES, the NYS Education Department and 14 component school districts and private schools. Promotes the Teacher Center to school personnel through an ongoing public relations campaign to assure thorough knowledge and quality use of the Center, its resources and opportunities. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: A Permanent/Professional NYS teaching certificate with a minimum of five years' experience in developing classroom techniques, programs and strategies.
