- Clinical Shift Schedule: Monday Sunday, 8:00 AM 8:00 PM COVERAGE DATES
- Ongoing need beginning September 1, 2025
PATIENT INFORMATION
- Patient Demographics: All ages (Pediatrics through Geriatrics)
- Patient Volume/Census: 34 patients per hour
- Case Mix: General urgent care cold/flu, rashes, abrasions, lacerations, sprains, minor burns, wound care, splinting
FACILITY INFORMATION
- EMR System: Epic
- Specialty Backup Available: Remote physician support for escalation
- Support Staff Available: Medical Assistants, Radiology Technologists
- Reason for Coverage: Team Growth
PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE
- Hospital Privileges Required: Yes
- Temporary Privileges Available: Yes
- Credentialing Timeline: 90 days
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
- Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Covered REQUIRED PROCEDURES
- Suturing, Wound Care, and Incision & Drainage (I&D)
- Splinting
- X-Rays and EKG interpretation
- Drawing Blood and IV placement
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Licenses: Active Pennsylvania medical license
- Board: Board Certified in Emergency Medicine or equivalent urgent care qualification
- DEA: Active DEA Certification
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, CSR
- Experience: Minimum 2 years in urgent care or 1 year in emergency medicine
- Other Qualifications: Ability to work independently, proficiency with Epic EMR, willingness to travel between Wilkins Township, Monroeville, Murrysville, Jeanette, Greensburg, and North Huntingdon (within 30 miles)
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide urgent care services to patients of all ages
- Independently manage minor illnesses and injuries
- Perform procedures including wound care, splinting, I&Ds, X-ray/EKG interpretation, and venipuncture
- Refer high-acuity cases to local ER
- Chart accurately using Epic EMR
- Collaborate with support staff
