• Reason for Coverage: Additional physician coverage for ED

PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE

• Hospital Privileges Required: Yes
• Temporary Privileges Available: Yes (expedited for clean files)
• Onboarding: Required (orientation and EMR training)

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

• Immunizations: COVID-19 vaccination or waiver, current flu vaccine required REQUIRED PROCEDURES
• General emergency procedures as documented in 24-month procedure log

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Licenses: Active New Mexico medical license, NM CSR, DEA with NM address
• Certifications: ACLS, PALS (ATLS not required)
• Experience: 24 months of recent EM experience; board certified or eligible (ABEM, AOBEM, ABFM, ABIM only)
• Other Qualifications: 3 peer references, department chair reference, immunization records

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide emergency medical care for all presenting patients
• Work 24-hour shifts in a low-volume ED ( 5,550 annual visits)
• Collaborate with hospital staff to stabilize and admit patients as needed
• Accurately document all patient encounters using Epic EMR
• Participate in onboarding activities and adhere to facility protocols
