Patient Volume/Census: Based on census; approx. 1500 cases performed annually by team

Case Mix: Cardiac, Aortic, and Lung surgery (excluding esophageal procedures)

FACILITY INFORMATION

Specialty Backup Available: Multidisciplinary surgical team
Support Staff Available: Surgical PAs, Open Heart ICU APRNs, Office-based APRNs
Reason for Coverage: Long-term locum coverage to support cardiothoracic surgical team

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Licenses: Active Florida medical license
Certifications: Board Certified/Eligible in Cardiothoracic Surgery
Experience: Proven experience in all aspects of cardiac, aortic, and lung surgery
Other Qualifications: Willingness to collaborate with tenured and newly graduated surgeons in a high-volume setting; no telehealth
Primary Source Case Logs only to reflect the past 12 months, no other prior dates.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Perform a range of cardiothoracic surgeries excluding esophageal procedures
Provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient surgical care
Participate in rotating weeknight and weekend call coverage
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary surgical team to deliver high-quality patient
