Locums - Springfield, Missouri, Urgent Care JobLocation: Springfield & Joplin, MissouriSetting: Urgent Care CentersStart Date: ASAPAssignment Type: Ongoing Scheduling & Shift Details
  • Shift Availability: Up to 14 shifts/month
  • Shift Times:
  • Monday-Friday: 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM (12-hour shifts)
  • Saturday-Sunday: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM (8-hour shifts; may shift to 12s)
  • Scheduling Preference:
  • 4 consecutive shifts preferred
  • Preference to local candidates and those able to cover more shifts
  • Call: None Clinical Details
    • Patients per Shift: 30-50
    • Beds per Site: 5
    • Age Range: 6 months and older
    • Procedures Required:
    • Suturing, splinting, wound care, I&Ds
    • Over-read X-rays and ECGs
    • Placing IVs
  • Support Staff: Medical Assistants, Scribes, Rad Techs (no RN/LPNs)
  • Facility Resources: State-of-the-art centers with lab and mobile X-ray
  • EMR: Epic (training provided after credentialing; candidates must be EMR-proficient) Minimum Qualifications
    • Board Certification / Eligibility:
    • Must be residency-trained and BC/BE (within 5 years) in:
    • Emergency Medicine (EM)
    • Family Medicine (FM)
    • Internal Medicine/Pediatrics (Med/Peds)
  • Board must be ABMS or AOB only - no other boards accepted
  • Recent Experience: Proof of 50 patient encounters in the last 12 months relevant to privileges requested
  • Certifications Required:
  • BLS (AHA only - current)
  • Licensure:
  • Active Missouri medical license required
