Adelphi is seeking licensed Psychiatrists to deliver high-quality, after-hours telepsychiatric services to adult patients in Galveston County, Texas. Providers must be available for on-demand psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and urgent consultations via a secure, HIPAA-compliant telehealth platform. Job Quick Facts: Ref#: BD-1079-01 Profession: Physician Specialty: Psychiatry Location: Galveston County, TX Facility Type: Behavioral Health Facility Job Type: Contract Part-Time After-Hours Coverage Type: Remote / Telehealth Schedule: After-Hours (Weekdays 5:00 PM 8:00 AM), Weekends, and Holidays Start Date: Flexible / As soon as credentialed Rate: TBD Requirements: Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school Completion of an ACGME-accredited Psychiatry residency program Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Psychiatry Active, unrestricted medical license in the State of Texas Current DEA registration; DEA-X waiver strongly preferred Experience in crisis psychiatry or acute behavioral health settings Proficiency with telehealth technology and electronic health records (EHRs) Availability for evening, night, weekend, and holiday shifts Strong clinical judgment, decision-making, and documentation skills Responsibilities: Perform remote psychiatric evaluations for adult patients in crisis Initiate and manage medication treatment plans Respond to consultation requests within 15 minutes during active shifts Collaborate with on-site clinicians to ensure coordinated care and patient stabilization Accurately document all encounters in the electronic health record (EHR) Maintain compliance with all HIPAA, state, and federal guidelines
