Associate Engineer
for a consulting engagement with our client, a leading global biotechnology company. Job Description:
This role involves documentation, administrative tasks, shipping, ordering, inventory management, material collection, organizational support, laboratory work, and some technical aspects. The Human Factors / Usability Engineering technician will support activities related to human factors. Responsibilities include working with the company's New Product Introduction (NPI), packaging, and labeling teams, as well as internal Human Factors Engineering (HFE) colleagues to create study stimuli, verify data, and support other human factors activities. Stimuli may include carton and label designs, delivery devices, and user instructions. The technician will ensure timely creation and delivery of these materials, manage the disposition of used or new materials post-study, and maintain the Human Factors lab and related support materials and technology. Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree OR Associate degree with 4 years of experience Top Must Have Skill Sets:
Bachelor's degree Experience supporting research activities such as planning, coordinating materials, organization, archiving Effective communication skills for liaising with cross-functional teams and vendors Attention to detail Experience with documentation, admin, shipping, inventory, material collection, organizational tasks, with some technical aspects Experience with C-Doc systems Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
Collaborate with instructional design and HFE teams to create paper prototypes like carton labels, device labels, and user instructions Support multiple usability study stimuli development across the HFE team Coordinate with vendors to send and retrieve stimuli Support usability lab activities such as inventory management Work with internal teams to dispose of stimuli containing drugs, needles, or intellectual property safely and correctly Review data and documentation for accuracy Red Flags:
