The company has extensive experience in the adjustment of such loss claims. We offer our services in California, Arizona, Colorado, Montana, Minnesota, Georgia, Oregon, Washington, Nevada, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Texas, Utah, Iowa, Kentucky, Idaho, Michigan, Missouri, Wyoming. We act as the constant advocate and advisor for our clients' needs from the hours just following the loss all the way through the final settlement of their claims.
Catastrophic loss impacts victims emotionally, physically and financially. As a company who has seen from the front lines how difficult this can be, we endeavor to make sure our clients can at the very least move on with the financial resources their insurance provides.
Once engaged by a client, a Metropolitan Adjustment Bureau's representative will attend all meetings with insurance companies and their adjusters, as well as conducting negotiations with the insurance companies, their adjusters, experts and salvors on our clients' behalf, and in our clients' best interests.
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Inventory/Data Entry Specialist to join our growing team. This position plays a critical role in compiling and managing detailed records of client data and personal property inventories. You will work closely with adjusters and clients to reconcile property claims and assist in securing accurate, justified settlements from insurance carriers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Compile and enter detailed client data and personal property inventories into internal claim management systems (EXCEL & CLAIMWIZARD)
- Work with clients to gather and verify information regarding lost or damaged items.
- Accurately categorize personal property by type, condition, replacement value, and depreciation.
- Cross-reference and reconcile inventory data between clients, our firm, and insurance carriers.
- Maintain organized records of all claim-related documents and communications.
- Assist adjusters in preparing detailed reports and supporting documentation for property loss claims.
- Support field and office staff by providing timely data updates and responding to information requests.
- Ensure completeness, accuracy, and consistency of all data entered to support fair claim outcomes.
- Stay informed on industry standards for property valuation and inventory practices.
Requirements:
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information with professionalism.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, and other data entry tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in the insurance industry, property claims, or public adjusting.
- Familiarity with property valuation methods and depreciation schedules.
- Knowledge of personal property typically affected by disasters such as fires, floods, and storms.
- Experience with XactContents program or any comparable software
- Proven experience in data entry, inventory management, insurance claims, or related field preferred but NOT REQUIRED
