We are excited to offer an opportunity for an experienced CNC Programmer at our Fremont, OH location! CNC Programmers ensure the quality of all CNC programs in terms of efficient error-free operation on the shop floor. They are responsible for creating 2d and 3d numerically controlled (NC) tool paths for all CNC equipment.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Efficient programming of CNC equipment
- Verify all CNC programming tool paths to ensure error-free programs
- Meeting or improving upon estimated times and schedules
- Responsible for following BMG - Fremont Programming Standards
- Continually enhance knowledge and skill set, along with developing improved means and methods to complete tasks
- Support shop floor relative to CNC programs and CNC equipment
- Create and maintain organized documentation of program op sheets and tooling list sheets
- Knowledgeable in the capabilities of each of the CNC machine tools in the facility
- Analyze work order processes, part blueprints, optimize tooling feeds and speeds per machine center
- Well versed in the machining properties of various materials used in our products
- Provide constructive feedback to processing and engineering personnel
- Participate in the development and improvement of standards providing consistent programs to the manufacturing floor
- Responsible, as part of the production team, for meeting performance goals for scrap, rework labor efficiency and downtime
- Capable of developing geometry, surfaces, and models for use in the CNC programs

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- A minimum of a High School Diploma or GED; prefer an associate degree in related field
- A minimum of 2 years of CNC programming experience
- Working knowledge of CNC programming and CNC machining practices, familiarity with g-code
- Experience in blueprint reading and GD&T
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience in machining processes in a CNC environment
- Experience with computers and CAD/CAM skills
- Experience with 3, 4, and 5 axis machining
- Experience with EdgeCam, Hypermill, and GibbsCAM
- Detail oriented, self-starter, and can multi-task
- Ability to work independently & as a team
- Ability to give programming setup instructions for downstream customers
- Ability to determine root cause of programming errors and machining errors as they arise
