Metrology Engineer
for a consulting engagement with our direct client, a leading global biopharmaceutical company.
Job Description: This position is for a Metrology Engineer. Candidate must possess the ability to perform calibration and measurement systems with minimal supervision. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated track record in the using Standard or Primary Instrument Standard in pharmaceutical metrology. Additionally, the candidate will possess the ability to interact with various departments/teams and other client sites to align/communicate the global calibration control program Specific experience with multiple measurement disciplines in areas such as flow, temperature and optics and light measurements in a Primary Metrology laboratory. Duties and responsibilities include:
1. Prepare calibration procedures/job plans and associated training materials. 2. Understanding of GMP regulations and Good Document Practices 3. Maintenance and calibration of instrument Standards a. Electrical b. Flow c. Temperature d. Optics
4. Understanding of measurement traceability 5. Working with Calibration Software 6. Programming skills with instruments using MATLAB, LabView Virtual instrument software architecture (VISA) 7. Good communication skills 8. Repair experience plus
Basic Qualifications:
At least eight years’ experience in metrology engineering at a large company primary standards laboratory level or comparable related technical activities, including application of advanced measurement engineering principles and technology related to highly complex technical assignments. Bachelor of Science degree or Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Physics with a minimum of seven years engineering experience in pharmaceutical or electro-mechanical metrology (or other related fields).
