Minimum Qualifications
- Associate's Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, Public Administration, Government/Political Science, or related field and two years of experience in elections, electronic voting machine functions and programming, election guidelines and procedures, voter registration, or other data base environment experience; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Required Licenses or Certifications:
- Valid New Mexico Driver's License; State of New Mexico Image Cast Evolution (ICE) Certification, State of New Mexico and State of New Mexico Image Cast Central (ICC) Tabulator Certification within one year of hire.
- American Disabilities Act (ADA) Certified Coordinator Certification within three years of hire.

Essential Job Functions
- Assists with planning, coordinating and reviewing the work of assigned staff; assigns tasks and coordinates daily schedules and projects; assists with providing constructive feedback, reviewing and evaluating work and making suggestions and recommendations.
- Assists with coordinating and providing training to staff; coordinating the workflow and prioritization of projects; recommends corrective action when necessary; and assists with implementation and recommendation of corrective actions, discipline, and termination procedures as appropriate/necessary.
- Supervises assigned functions of voter registration and election procedures; assists the Manager in implementing and enforcing election procedures, county policies and office procedures; participates in decision making and enforces all rules and regulations to include the State of New Mexico and Federal Election Laws.
- Ensures the inventory of voting tabulation equipment and election supplies are done in compliance with federal and state statutes and administrative code; assists in the preparation and processing of applicable purchase orders.
- Organizes, performs and oversees routine maintenance, troubleshooting, cleaning and organizing of machines and all supplies and materials located at the warehouse including maintaining inventory reports.
- Provides technical expertise in election management systems software and hardware; responsible for the installation of upgrades and new releases as necessary; programs ballot and/or election equipment.
- Coordinates system in preparation of the programming, pre-testing and certification of the election database, software and voting machines for all elections.
- Responsible for statistical reports; post-election result verifications and maintaining the security and integrity of the election systems process.
- Develops and provides training for new and current users on various software systems and voting machines.
- Ensures compliance with election laws.
- Assists with programming, certification of voting machines, ballot box procedures, election procedures, poll workers and poll place contacts; arranges election training schools for poll officials, technicians, and for Bureau of Elections staff; troubleshoots and resolves system issues; performs file transfers, retrieves diagnostic information and support products for all systems hardware.
- Assists in preparing Canvass, verifying provisional and absentee replacement ballots.
- Processes information and prepares official ballots for absentee voting, early voting, federal and military overseas, United States and county; oversees the distribution of the mail out and return; assists in overseeing the voter registration audits and precinct splits when required; and resolves voting issues and troubleshoots election equipment as necessary
