Job Summary
This role plays an important part in ensuring guests are given an exceptional experience during their stay. The Housekeeper mainly focuses on sanitizing and cleaning guests' rooms during and after their stay. Housekeepers are also expected to provide guests with information and directions within the resort. In addition, they are expected to greet each guest with a professional, but warm demeanor and always find an answer to each question.
Pay Rate: $17.00 to 20.00 per hour plus tips.
Schedule : Sundays & Mondays
Responsibilities

  • Report to work in a clean uniform with nametag at scheduled time.
  • Effectively clean assigned guest rooms as directed by Housekeeping Management following Forbes/Mirbeau standards.
  • Ensure all housekeeping carts and closets are stocked with supplies and linen.
  • Remove all dirty linen, glassware, trash from guest rooms.
  • Dust all furniture, pictures, windowsills, wash floors, and vacuum carpets.
  • Straighten furniture, draw curtains, check light bulbs, and replace collateral.
  • Clean bathroom fixtures, bathtubs, shower stalls, shower curtains, tiles, sinks, counters, and toilets.
  • Make beds, replace room amenities/supplies, and ensure all furniture is undamaged and functional.
  • Check for articles left behind and turn them in to lost and found.
  • Make final check of room and report clean rooms ready to Management.
  • Clean rooms on list in a sensible order until list/section is complete.
  • In occupied rooms (stayovers): clean in same fashion as a check out plus arrange guest belongings in a neat manner.
  • Report any problems or unusual situations to Housekeeping Management.
  • Make rollaway beds or cribs and put them into closet as needed.
  • Respond to guest complaints or requests and follow through to ensure the highest level of guest satisfaction.
  • Maintain cleanliness in the housekeeping closets, and check on public restrooms throughout the day, beginning at start of shift, breaktime and before clocking out.
  • Keep all housekeeping carts and dirty linen bins neatly in the hallways for guests to easily get around.
  • Bring down dirty linen on your breaks to keep up with the turnaround of clean linens.
  • Ensure all keys, equipment, and supplies are used correctly and are returned to the Housekeeping Department as required.
  • Attend all scheduled meetings as deemed necessary by the resort.
  • Perform any additional assignments as directed by Housekeeping Management
Qualifications, Skills & Educational Requirements
Requires the ability to learn job duties during a short period of training and follow directions efficiently. Previous hotel housekeeping experience preferred. Must be in good health and able to stand, walk, and lift-up to 40lbs for extended periods. A neat appearance, a customer service mindset, and an attention to detail is necessary. The ability to work alone or among team members when needed is required.
