Responsibilities: Design electrical hardware and low voltage electrical circuits for medical products, including developing electrical requirements and specifications from concept to release. Gather requirements from various teams and marketing, and compile requirement specifications. Requirements are often scattered and need to be consolidated through discussions and interactions. Follow best design practices and prepare documentation to support design reviews, including requirement gathering, high-level design, and detailed design. Design power, analog, and digital interfaces using appropriate design and simulation tools, understanding module-level details. Develop and maintain electrical panel schematics, control systems, and system schematics for large medical equipment. Support the transition from development to production, including system schematics, PCB schematics and layouts, and harnesses. Apply electrical engineering techniques to achieve project goals. Demonstrate creativity and autonomy in problem-solving. Take responsibility and ensure tasks are completed efficiently. Requirements: BSc or BEng in Electrical, Electronics, or Instrumentation Engineering; a master's degree is a plus. 8-10 years of relevant experience. Experience with Cadence OrCAD Capture and PSpice for design and simulation; familiarity with Altium Designer is advantageous. Hands-on experience with PCB layout; knowledge of PCB development process is required. Experience with PIC microcontrollers, DSPs, and ARM processors; FPGA and CPLD experience is a plus. Knowledge of processor selection and interfaces (CAN, RS232, Ethernet, I2C). Experience with cable drawings and harness design using AutoCAD; knowledge of distribution panels. Familiarity with UL, CE, NEC standards and codes, reliability engineering, EMI/EMC standards, and Japanese regulations.
