Location: Blythewood, SCDepartment: Protective PackagingReports To: Manufacturing Manager/Department SupervisorFLSA Status: Hourly Non-ExemptPosition Summary:The Material Handler supports manufacturing operations by ensuring timely and accurate delivery of raw materials, components, and finished goods throughout the production facility. This role plays a critical part in maintaining production flow, inventory accuracy, and workplace safety.Key Responsibilities:Perform cycle counts in designated areas including Curby, Prefold, and Lemu.Move finished goods from protective packaging to the shipping area, including wrapping pallets for transport.Transport raw materials to production lines as needed.Operate a clamp truck and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.Maintain the sustainability area by: - Making bales of recyclable materials. - Separating good vs. bad cores. - Keeping accurate records of recycling numbers.Support general housekeeping and cleanliness of the work area.Load and unload materials using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment.Stage materials for production according to work orders and schedules.Monitor inventory levels and report shortages or discrepancies.Assist with receiving, inspecting, and storing incoming materials.Maintain accurate records of material movements using ERP or warehouse management systems.Collaborate with production, quality, and logistics teams to resolve material-related issues.Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent.1+ year of experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment preferred.Forklift and clamp truck certification are preferred.Familiarity with inventory systems and basic computer skills.Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in a fast-paced environment.Work Environment:Manufacturing floor and warehouse setting with exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures. Use of PPE required (e.g., safety glasses, gloves, steel-toed boots).
