This role will work with key business partners to manage and drive strategic initiatives within Skanskas technology portfolio. In this role, you will oversee a portfolio of technology projects, directly engage with business leaders, Scrum Masters, Product Owners, and IT/Business project team members to ensure the successful management and delivery of approved initiatives. This position is hands-on and requires someone that excels in a dynamic and active work environment.

Job Description
What Youll Do:
- Lead, manage and grow a team of portfolio managers and scrum masters, guiding the professional and technical development of the team.
- Serve as an active member of the IT Management team to help shape, inform, and drive the technology strategy forward.
- Oversee a portfolio of active technology projects, and leverage portfolio management best practices to maintain Skanskas technology portfolio & backlog of pending projects and programs.
- Manage resource plans at the portfolio level for all of Skanska USA IT resources.
- Provide oversight and supervision to ensure successful delivery of IT programs within defined scope, quality, schedule, and budget.
- Create a safe, inclusive, and open culture where cross-functional teams work together productively and cohesively.
- Establish and oversee governance of project delivery including methodology, artifacts, portfolio health reporting, delivery risks, resource loading, and project/task interdependencies.
- Provide leadership and direction to Technology Steering Committees and product/program teams which also include key business membership.
- Serve as a key member of the USA Demand Council to provide visibility into the technology portfolio performance and partner with business members to help lead the strategic annual investment process.
- Recruit, motivate, mentor, and lead the agile delivery talent.
- Be responsible for the Portfolio Management fiscal budget.
To ensure effective oversight and management for the technology portfolio, responsibilities include:
- Foster collaborative and transparent relationships with project teams, stakeholders, and business leaders, and provide them with consistent and effective oversight and communications.
- Conduct recurring review sessions with senior IT leadership and Business executives, steering committees, and other stakeholders to communicate performance of the IT Project Portfolio, facilitate change request decisions, and develop accompanying recommendations.
- Consistently and continuously track performance to plan and communicate appropriately.
- Ensure team members are hosting regular meetings with business stakeholders to ensure project alignment is maintained throughout planning and execution.
- Elevate major risks and opportunities to leadership in a clear and consistent manner.
- Serve as an escalation point for critical projects, programs, and portfolio issues.
Education & Certifications:
- Bachelors or masters degree from an accredited university
- Project Management certifications can include Lean-Agile: CSP-SM or PMI-ACP, and SAFe
- Change Management experience is preferred but not required
Experience:
- 10+ years of relevant experience in IT and business/industry with accompanying experience leading IT Portfolio/Project Management organization.
- Hands-on leader able to build credibility through tangible contributions in a highly collaborative environment.
- Self-starter able to navigate a diverse, global organization and effectively collaborate, communicate, and influence all levels within the organization.
- Proven leadership, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
- Strong ability to convert thoughts into strategic presentation is key.
- Ability to produce effective presentations & materials to present with senior executives in the company.
- Experience with Lean, Agile, Development Operations, Design Thinking, and other continuous improvement techniques.
- Proven track record of successfully prioritizing tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven track record of successfully working with others to achieve shared goals.
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects/initiatives across diverse groups leveraging portfolio management techniques and providing recommendations to business stakeholders.
- Proven budget & resource management experience.
